Millau bridge:

The Millau bridge is the highest road bridge in the world (343 Metres) and spans the Tarn valley, stretching for 1.6 miles. It was designed by the renowned British architect Norman Foster and was built to offer an alternative to the Rhone Valley route which often saw long traffic jams. It includes an extra 40km of the A75 motorway and is expected to save drivers anything between 30 minutes - 4 hours of time and also savings on toll fees. It was officially opened on December 14th and opened for traffic on December 17th 2004....
