It was so central, and the staff were very efficient. Swimming pool was a huge bonus as we try to swim most days, and the fact that we did not have to forgo our daily exercise while taking a few days break.Would reccommend this hotel to any friends or family visiting Cork.

"The central location of the hotel and it's proximity to both the bus and rail stations is definitely one of it's strong points. The room and the hotel as a whole was clean and quite spacious. When approaching the hotel on foot from the bus station as we did it was a little confusing in that, because you could see the hotel, you tried to enter it from the river side, whereas the entrance is in fact in MacCurtain Street. The breakfast was adequate but we have had better. We did not have any other meals at the hotel and so cannot offer further comments on the food or restaurant facilities. Another small negative is the limited lift facilities. Although this did not really affect us because we mostly used the stairs (which are slightly hidden away), it could be a problem at busy times. We also found that some of the staff were not as friendly as one would expect, and certainly not as one is used to in Ireland." (97781092)
Good central location of hotel. Spacious room and common areas.
View of back of hotel from window of room. Some staff not as friendly as one would expect.

"The hotel location is excellent, within 5 minutes walk of St Patricks Street. It is clean, staff are friendly and breakfast is good. My bedroom was streetside and rather noisy throughout the night as people tipped out of the bars. I also had a nasty experience just after check-in, as the lift broke down and I was stuck in it for 15 minutes before being rescued." (99973411)
Location
The lift broke down whilst I was in it

"reception staff very friendly" (99040700)
in general like the hotel, staff are friendly.
when room doors closing they shut vey loudly, through out the night doors banging - difficult to get to sleep, constantly been woken up. room was tiny for the rate i paid, i realise i was an early check in and on check asked if there was a room avail. if i thought this was the standard size, i definitly would not come back to stay in hotel.

The room was spacious and the bed comfortable, nice size bathroom too.
Thought the furnishings & curtains were a bit dated and drab

"Breakfast was very good. Dining room was very nice, overlooking the Lee. When checking in, the receptionist phoned someone concerning our booking and she was asked how much we had paid for our room, we were wondering if we had received a lesser room because we had booked over the internet therefore paying less than if we had booked directly through the hotel." (3304981765)
Clean, close to railway station and shops.
Room was small and basic. One of the lifts was out of order. Staff in general were not very friendly. Bell boy was very friendly and helpful.

"Not a bad choice for stayign in Cork. The price is only slightly more than Jury's or Days and the location is excellent for going out at night." (99966336)
City Centre location, good staff
Room was a bit small and view was awful. The lift was very slow.
