    Nice, clean, good location, & value for money accommodation.

    tiny room, not suitable for twin room. Window did not close, no heating on first night. television picture almost impossible to make out.

    Friendly staff at check-in Excellent value for money for central London hotel

    Room far too hot (and no control over radiator heat) so needed to have window open - then too noisy to sleep well due to busy road outside

    Extremely hot and stuffy with poor ventilation. First night on 1st floor - very noisy. Internet connection unsuccessful despite obtaining tokens after purchases from Peel Bar. Overall, very unsatisfied with stay and consider standard very poor compared to other accommodation during stay in UK at same or even less rate.

    location was excellent, reception not too bad,

    the rooms were small, but the decor was very tired and worn surely you can give it a coat of paint and new carpets.

    My room was an average size and the bathroom a good size. There were plentiful towels, soaps, coffee and tea. The tv picked up 5 channels which was more than enough for an overnight stay. The bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. When I reported the radiator problem, someone was sent to deal with it immediately.

    The toilet had not been flushed and the floor contained hair so I don't believe the bathroom had been cleaned properly. Unfortunately the bedroom radiator leaked and the carpet was drenched in the morning, as were some of my belongings I had left within range at floor level. There was not much storage space for clothes or cases for anyone staying more than 1 night.

    The hotel had no record of my booking when I arrived! However they were quick to solve the problem , although this could have been worse during a busier time of year.

    OK for a short emergency stay. The reception was excellent, staff were friendly and reception area good

    I was allocated a basement room that was too hot. If I had paid full price I would have wanted to be moved.

    Staff were courteous and helpfull.

    Nearly overcharged on checking in, until I questioned the rate. Room size inadequate. Room fittings in poor state of repair (blind nearly fell on my son's head when he tried to adjust it!). Shower fitting broken. Electrics failed. Matresses thin and uncomfortable.

    Easily accessable to London and the underground system

    room was very small- but that wasn't the part that was a problem, the lighting was very poor- with only one main light in the foyer that did not light the room. There were 2 small halogen reading lamps above the bed, but still, the lighting could be improved.

    "The hotel was extremely clean throughout. The staff were very helpful and gave us good service. The lift was very unreliable,but perhaps we were just unlucky." (97037717)

    We had everything we needed, including hair drier.

    The radiator did not work, but we were given extra blankets.

    Convenience to transport facilities

    The bed linen wasn't clean- in fact a largish bed bug bit me and disappeared on to the carpet.It hid in my luggage and emerged on my cleaner bed in a German hotel where I eventually killed it. The TV had only 3 terrestial channels.Channels4 and 5 were unavailable.

    Staff dealt well with a mix up concerning the booking when I arrived.

    There was no hot water late evening and in the morning. The toilet seat was broken.

    "the wrong choice i made was to stay in that hotel, i would not want anyone to go through, what i went through.i have never seen such poor service in life.everyday i prayed that my day are over then i can go home and take a bath.i could not stand the toilet as it was not clean,even the carpet its self."     Easy access to the A4

    The hotel was graded a three star however the rooms did not have air con and it was too noisy to sleep with the windows open due to the location. The corridors smelt musty due to the heat and the carpets and walls were very worn, dirty and uninviting.

    "I found the room noisy, and wish I had stayed on the east side of the hotel. Check-in time is 2pm, and the hotel had little space that was not secured to hold my belongings until the room was available. I thought the value was good relative to the other options I had." (2150194)

    The staff were accommodating, and the breakfast included with the stay was substantial and worthwhile.

    The room was small. The wiring to the lights was faulty. The internet terminals in the lobby were expensive and polluted with viruses.

    "Iwould have paid more to have a larger room. Reception staff were not very welcoming, in fact they were bordering on the unfriendly. Dining room staff were very pleasant but the cooked breakfast was not very appetising. My friend asked to have a light bulb changed on her reading lamp and was informed that there were none available. The blankets on the beds could be improved as they only came up to chest level. Again, perhaps the low rates paid influenced this." (1626306)

    Very convenient to Gloucester Road Underground station and central London

    Single rooms could be a little bigger but considering the rate paid, were satisfactory.
