    THE EVENING MEALS WERE EXCELLENT THE STAFF MANUEL AND JOAN GAVE 100%

    The hotel advertised free shuttle to airport, but when we checked in they said it only applied to certain package deals. They did, however, booked a taxi and said that the hotel would pay for it.

    Lovely surroundings,very quiet and peaceful. Helpful and friendly staff. Great location. Very nice decor and furnishings.

    Lack of drawer space in room, good size wardrobe, but only 4 hangers.

    "It was very easy to find this hotel as there was very good signage. The hotel was very pleasant, clean and peaceful. We arrived an hour early though we weren't allowed to check which was a disappointment. The hotel felt far too hot to me we slept with the window open. My biggest annoyance was being woken at 8 a.m. by the chaimbermaids wanting to get into the room extremely annoying this was far too early for my liking." (97191874)

    Size of hotel, quiet, 31 rooms, grounds & gardens. Food in evening was of a very high standard.

    "The hotel is situated in a very pretty part of Cheshire with lots of opportunity for walking. However, the staff are completely ignorant about the area, have no walking maps or descriptions of walking trails and footpaths. This is a fine hotel for the business traveller or wedding guest, not the tourist who wants to explore the area." (99401935)

    Room was very small with only one desk chair -- no other provision for seating. There was no alternative quiet area in which one might sit and work.

    lovely rural setting, close to airport, restaurant had a great menu and our dinner was superb!

    nothing we didn't like however, would recommend more detailed driving directions to hotel. We had to stop for confirmation of directions.

    Relaxed, 'country-type' hotel, excellent service

    Some small improvements to the room would be helpful- net curtains to ground floor rooms overlooking a yard, cracked wash hand basin, etc, Not sure about evening main-meal options that were nmore than bar meals and less than the full a la carte.

    Nice surroundings

    Didnt sleep all night due to a freezer condensor working all night, when you book please check that you are on the opposite side of the new block. This is very poor for this standard of hotel.

    We booked a 'Prestige' room as my husband is rather restricted at the moment and I wanted to make sure of his comfort. We were very satified with the spacious accommodation and good facilities and everything we asked for was supplied. Staff were always cheerful, accommodating and positive. We did not sample the food as we were visiting relatives in the area.

    If I am very 'nit-picking' I could say that the cups were a little small, there was apparently no extra bedding as stated in the prospectus - however, we did not need it - and the super modern CD player- television-radio equipment was beyond us! Some instructions would have been appreciated. Information about Places of Worship was not available and this would have been appreciated as it was Christmas. My main dislike is the entrance to the hotael driveway from the road which could be improved as it is rather bumpy and uneven - not up to the otherwise high standards you set yourself.

    The hotel is quite personal and the staff are always go out of there way to be helpful and polite. The food is very good.

    The basic rooms could do with a little bit of updating though the better rooms are very good. Bar menu could do with a couple more options.

    "Everything we saw was good apart from the bed..it was rock hard, I could feel the springs through it and the sheets were really rough and scratchy....I had a terrible nights sleep...We weren't there very long, just a night, so I can't comment on the hotels other facilities. However, from first impressions it was nice clean hotel with pleasant staff, decor etc. Didn't feel like a chain hotel, would go back, if they could sort out the mattress!" (99247218)

    The hotel didn't feel like a chain.

    The bed was rock hard and I could feel the springs through it, the sheets were rough and scratchy....had a terrible nights sleep. I'd forgo all the other facilities for a good mattress and decent nights sleep - which lets face it is whats most important in a hotel.

    It was a 4-Star hotel but it felt very homely, smart but not 'stuck-up'. After a day working and travelling it is great to be able to relax and have a good meal. The food was fantastic !!!!

    "It was not clear from the Web site that breakfast was not included in the price, this was discussed with the staff on my arrival. The room was unbearable hot and no fans avaialble to make the conditions better. The Hotel is in an isolated location and has no facilities so limited in what leasure time.     "we stayed in a new part of the hotel which was great. well worth the stars. however you had to walk through the ongoing renovations to reach it! Also we could've expected air-con especially in a new room and with the weather it would've made our stay more pleasant. In the restaurant the food was well presented and good value.     "The only thing that we found disapointing about our stay was breakfast the following morning; 1. No member of staff to escort you to your table. 2.     We stayed in a gorgeous room in the newly built wing - it was modern and beautifully furnished. The bathroom was amazing and everything was very clean.

    Since the renovations were so new there was a very strong smell of new carpet etc. Also, we did not get the wake up call we requested.

    Very noisey room (101) - next to public toilet, that was in constant use until 11.00 pm and from 6.00 am. Noise from refuse lorry reversing outside the room early in the morning. Poor standard of TV/channels. Rump of lamb asked to be medium - but no sign of 'pinkness'. poached eggs for breakfast were solid and had been clearly cooked too early prior to me completing my cerreal. Poor selection/dsiplay of buffet breakfast items. In general the hotel seemed 'down at heel' much noisey building work going on. A 3 star rating would have been more accurate.

    Receptionist was very considered, moved my parents who were travelling with me directly to a ground floor room, when she noticed that they were not mobile enough to take the stairs. Excellent pro-active service.

    It was clean and warm, somewhat too warm because there was no means of regulating the temperature of radiators. Bed comfortable, also.

    The Bedroom was enormous, practically a suite. No extra high prices for room service.Real fires all over the place and v.friendly staff. Only there for one night but will go back next time in area. Much nicer than an airport hotel but...

    B without B rate caught us out at booking stage. Bathroom lovely but oh was the floor chilly!!Restaurant sounded fabulous but an alternative, simpler menu would be a thought..

    "The staff was nice but we had considerable trouble finding the hotel and even after multiple calls, no one at the hotel could tell us how to get there from the main highway and not even from the airport. The directions on the active hotels site need rewriting or clarifying. We only stayed for the night, rooms were nice, clean and comfortable. The one negative is the walls were really thin and we could hear our neighbor like he was in our room with us. The bad directions and the wasted time it took to find it (over an hour) made this hotel experience not as good as it could have been." (2940501)

    Rooms were clean as were the bathrooms.

    Walls were very thin. We could hear the man next door coughing in the night like he was in our room with us. Direction to the hotel were terrible.
