    A somewhat demotivated person at checki in. Bed in a poor state of repair.Location above a supemarket & on noisy highstreet is not mentioned in your brochure ot web site. Poor ventilation in the room, poor views from the room. Poor layout of restaurant, no windows in the restaurant, poor ventilation in the restaurant. Remains of christmas decorations tacked on walls and furniture in the restaurant. Breakfast was good though.

    Internet facility was spot on, the check in process was very efficient with pleasant members of staff to deal with. Everything worked in the room and the facilities nearby were very good with lots of choice. The bar prices in the hotel were also good compared to other establishments nearby. All in all very good value for money

    When we arrived we saw that the bed cover had stains on and we asked for a change, this was done with apologies for the inconvenience. Outside the room there was a piece of equipment (an air freshener I believe, electrically powered) that was bleeping about every 10 seconds. This was very disconserting when trying to get to sleep, but again about 12pm there was a member of staff reparing it and silencing it

    Reception staff had a bored manner. I left an item at the hotel, it was never found, and no one answered my calls. Sadly, even the manager didn't ring me until the next day - after my 8th call. The room: no hairdryer, a lamp but no where to plug it in, the bottom sheet was too small for the bed and the mattress was the lumpiest I've ever slept on.

    It was in a good location for my meeting

    Rooms were cold the shower was cold i had to have a shower in the morning when it was hot also needed extra blankets on the bed what iched me all night very unpleasant stay didn't get much sleep.

    hotel didnt have any knowledge of my booking,even though i had my booking reference,and when i checked out they tried to charge me at a higher rate than agreed on line-Any Reasons ???

    "Has potential - but really needs to get clean - currently outdated,old,shabby,dreadful furniture in bedroom & dirty bedroom and bathroom - just not a pleasant night. On the plus side its reasonably priced, very good location and serves an excellent breakfast from continental to full english - we were spoilt for choice in that respect." (97918913)

    The breakfast area and food served at breakfast were excellent

    Dirty,outdated - very fawlty towers. Bathroom had items left in it by previous occupant(razor, soap, hair!) and had very obviously not been cleaned - especially the toilet. The furniture was comical. The single bed had a 2ft 6 base with a 3ft mattress on the top. Quality of the furniture - jurassic. Bunk beds very poor quality. All mattresses were poor - lumpy and you could feel the springs. Coffee making facilities for two - the room was for four. (The staff were asked to put more cups in the room but didn't). The coffee making facilities were covered in dust - I mean really covered. The heating was on all night, it couldn't be turned off and we couldn't open a window.

    My sister and I found your Hotel to be most convenient for visiting our relatives in the area. The Staff were most kind and pleasant to speak to.

    The room we had was clean and pleasant, it was only let down by the bedcovers. The sheets and towels were fresh, but you really need new counterpanes.

    "Although it was only mid October and the weather was warm, the hotel had the central heat working very hard and the room radiators were not controllable (seized valves). It appeared that every window in the hotel was open - a dreadful waste of money and ecologically frightful behaviour. The room was way too hot and the window let in paint fumes from the bathroom shop in the courtyard below. This happened even on Sunday. Complaints met with no sympathy from the staff - they couldn't care less. The room itself was okay, the location was perfect for our needs, and breakfast was very good, but we would not stay there again." (97403509)

    The room was reasonably spacious and the included breakfast was excellent.

    The room and the hotel were far too hot and the room faced a courtyard where very nasty paint fumes were being generated.

    "On arrival we were welcomed?by the receptionist who then cut us off to resume her conversation with her co-worker, not a good impression. The room was dusty and the bins had not been emptied. The bed was not made properly the sheets were still all screwed up but the top cover was pulled up over them, so we had to start making the bed to be able to get into it.The parking was on a public car park which was no problem to us but could be inconvenient to others who have to pay for a parking ticket.The hotel is built onto a supermarket which is not a good impression from outside. Overall we were disappointed with our stay, it felt tacky and not the place to stay for enjoying a break" (97450503)

    The locality to the shops. The corridors looked clean and spacious.

    Lack of public areas such as a lounge, only a bar which looked like a run down cafe, broken plastic chairs and tables in front of the hotel.

    Breakfast was good, and your staff was very friendly.

    To save food, I would suggest that on Sundays you take individual orders instead of bringing out a full English breakfast for everyone. We saw several plates that were left full of food.

    "The price was very reasonable and the hotel was available and in the right location so we booked it. I think if we'd had hot water we would have come away feeling very pleased but cold showers in the morning, along with no-one caring that guests have cold showers, can change your view drastically."     There was no hot water for showers in the morning. We asked the receptionist if she could help but all she could think of was giving us the key to the room next door. Obviously we found the same problem there. That was as much as she would do. I don't even remember her offering an apology.

    "First impressions are important, and I think the receptionist of the day needs training in how to warmly greet people, but she knew the procedures. On the other hand the late night staff were very accommodating and helpful. Because of the early start required by my group, I cannot rate the breakfast experience, since we had to leave before.     Locality was good. Breakfast very good.

    First impressions were very poor: the room had not been cleaned. i.e. toilet not flushed; dirty water left in bath; dried on food on plates; cigarette packet left on bed; bed unmade; litter left on floor.

    Convenient location right in the centre of Hale

    What concerned me most was that my door was left open by a member of staff, presumably the maid, between them being in my room and me returning in the evening. Other points: - Lack of concern/poor service by some members of staff - Poor level of cleanliness in parts of the room - Some of the facilities publicised are not provided - Noisy fans throughout the night

    The convenience of it's situation.

    Practically everything. The room was not valleted on the Sunday morning and there were bottle tops beneath the bed.When we queried this we were told it was because we exchanged the room but our friends kept theirs and it still wasn't done.

    "On arriving at the hotel we thought that it looked alright. Upon entering the room i found that on the tray where the kettle is there was a packet of 3 biscuits that was open and 1 was taken out obviously from the previous person. When my partner wanted a shower the hot water would not come out and then there was a half empty bottle of complementry shower gel on the rack of the shower and an empty shower hat packet on the back of the toilet again i assume from the other guests. I went to reception and complained and they did offer to move us but by then it was too late. Also the bottom of the net curtains were mouldy. I didnt expect 5* but i did expect to be going in to a clean room. Also at breakfast other tables were given toast without asking and we did not get any." (3305507542)

    "The photos on the site bear little resemblance to the hotel. The room was very small, I had to wipe the layer of dust from the furniture, the carpet was not vaccumed, the bed linen was dirty and beleive it or not the toilet remained unflushed from the previous occupants. Given the dust this could have been a long time ago !!! Overall the condition of the room was unacceptable and my 14 year old son who I travelled with really didn't want to stay there once we returned to the room in the evening. Sadly we had no choice. The fact that the fittings needed replacing is one thing but there is absolutely no excuse whatsoever for a room to be unclean. That is utterly criminal in the hotel trade" (3305464118)

    THIS HOTEL WAS THE FILTHIEST HOTEL WE HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED. ON ENTERING THE ROOM THE FIRST IMPRESSION WAS EXTREMELY SHABBY AND DIRTY. ON INSPECTION, THE BATHROOM WAS FILTHY, THE TOILET HAD NOT BEEN CLEANED AND HAD BEEN LEFT IN A DIRTY STATE, MOULD ALL OVER THE WALLS, THE BASE OF THE BATH HAD A HUGE GASH IN THE ENAMEL. TOILET ROLL HOLDER WAS COMPLETELY CORRODED, THE MIRROR HAD WATER/SOAP SPLASHES ALL OVER IT.FLOOR FILTHY. THE WHOLE ROOM WAS NOT FIT FOR ANIMALS LET ALONE FEE PAYING GUESTS. THE BEDROOM METAL WINDOW FRAME WAS COMPLETELY COVERED IN CORROSION AND BLACK MOULD WITH A SMALL PIECE OF NET PARTIALLY COVERING THIS. THE LAMPSHADES IN THE ROOM HAD PARTED COMPANY WITH THE FRAMES AND WERE HANGING COMPLETELY OFF RESTING ON THE ELECTRIC LIGHT BULBS. THE FURNITURE WAS SHABBY AND BEATEN ABOUT. CONSEQUENTLY WE COMPLAINED BITTERLY BUT WHEN SHOWN OTHER ROOMS, THESE WERE JUST AS BAD. WE LEFT THE HOTEL WITH NOWHERE ELSE TO STAY (8PM) AND HAD TO FIND ALTERNATIVE ACCOMMODATION.

    "We had called before leaving for the hotel to get directions. It was late at night when we arrived in the vicinity of the hotel, and our directions did not seem to be too good. We got lost and when we called the hotel the clerk could not tell us where we were from our description of the area or how to get to the hotel. We had to get directions from another hotel which was all we could find that was open at the time. We knew the room was not air conditioned, but it was very hot when we got in the room, and there were no fans available. It did cool off enough later, though for us to sleep comfortably. The room was adaquate for our needs and everything was in working order. The fact that it was so close to the airport was a big plus." (3304920802)

    "Sadly this was not the highlight of our stay - the hotel was meant to have been a point of stay prior to the long flight ahead - allowing us to be refreshed and relaxed the next morning. Arrival was meet with confusion regarding the room and missing keys, although allocation of a second room was soon applied. However the hotel lacks air conditioning, and our room faced the evening sun, which meant that it was VERY hot and sticky most of the night! Window opened only a small way, and the bathroom facilities were just a little grubby....especially the drinking glass! There was no soap other than several packets of shampoo, which we had to use every time we visited the toilet....and no wash cloth to bath with. TV channels was very limited - and the bed was like a solid back board, but with torn edges to the base..and only one set of pillows. However the staff were helpful, and quickly responded to requests for wine glasses and spoons to eat our icecream with....and were very apologetic that the NEW fans expected in, had as yet to arrive...for the folowing week. Breakfast was a good filling version, with plenty of variety - a good thing when on a long flight!" (3304856852)
