    Friendly welcome unlike the nearby Osbourne Hotel I stayed at the day before.

    In the world of Freeview I was a little disappointed to find only the 5 terrestrial channels available and I think wifi in the rooms would be useful for the business traveller

    "We were a group of six adults and except the cleanliness which needs to improve, we enjoyed our stay there." (97301590)

    Friendly & competent staff reception, restaurant and bar. Go out of their way to help with anything.

    Bed room dusty and smear marks on furniture, as well as carpet badly hoovered.

    "We had stayed at this hotel about four years ago and mistakenly went back there. However to be fair there had been some renovation and the double room was perfectly acceptable. Few hotels seem to offer single rooms of any description." (107511347)

    Quite convenient for Princes Street and popular attractions. Quite good value for money in a city where hotels can be expensive.

    We were a party of three. The double room was fine, but the bathroom in the single room was very shabby.

    Spacious Room, Freindly staff and the bath/toilets very neat and tidy.

    had a bit of an iffy at breakfast. forgot the order and had to wait for a bit. That could happen I guess, otherwise fairly coordinated staff.

    When I checked in I was greeted by a warm & friendly member of staff who was very helpful to my needs. Its always nice to see a freindly smile after along flight.

    Not all the girls on the reception desk appeared to be as friendly as the first couple of girls on the desk. Some of them didn't seem interested in the customer or their job.

    Friendly staff;excellent location:

    none excpet that the rooms were not soundproof and floorboards squeaked loundly. But I suppose that's atmosphere!

    Great staff. Large rooms and bathrooms for Europe...YEAH!!

    Very expensive, yet I realize that it is the going rate during August...but I'm being honest. Perhaps if breakfast had been included I would have felt that the value was fair.

    "The location of the Cairn Hotel in Edinburgh is just less than 10 minutes on foot to the train station and Prince Street, which is one of the main shopping area of Edinburgh. The public transport is very convenience with many bus stops just around the conner." (97271902)

    The service personnels were nice and friendly, the service was prompt and adequate and the room was clean and tidy.

    No breakfast will be server after 9:30 AM.

    "The staff at the hotel were wonderful. Really gave us a warm welcome. I couldn't fault the customer service. Stuart very kindly served us drinks in the hotel bar and even sought us out in the morning at breakfast to say he hoped we'd had a good holiday and to wish us goodbye and a safe journey home.     Overall the experience of staying was excellant and represented extremely good value for money. The refurbished bathroom was to a very high standard.

    A long length mirror would have been helpful. The lighting as I find with lots of hotels is very poor.

    The convenience to the city centre was ideal and the breakfast was very good value for money.

    The evening restaurant was out of commision due to refurbishment,resulting in a journey out to eat at night in poor weather.The bedroom door was a poor fit in the frame resulting in light and noise from the hallway interrupting a good rest.

    Bathroom is newly re-furbished and has been done superbly.

    Bathroom sink plug does not seal properly, so the water drains away while shaving.

    "Staff were great, we had slight problem with the room, i was not expectiong a lot for the money we paid but i still expect a bed that isnt on a slant with a nackerd mattres, but they changed our room which was much bigger a newer bathroom, and two comfortable single beds!
