    Room was excellent - quiet and clean. Bathroom very high standard.

    More tea / coffee facilities and breakfast thrown in! The directions given on the internet from the tube station could have been clearer.

    Shower leaked from around the shower head. Only three sachets of milk so not enough for coffee in evening and tea in the morning!

    Hotel room was all we could have wanted, great location (loved the borough market) rooms clean, comfortable and tidy and staff were friendly and helpful.

    Shower temperature was luke warm on both mornings

    Good quality and selection of food & juices at breakfast. Effective hair dryer provided in room. Curtains in room worked well at keeping the light out.

    Room temperature control did not seem effective & was quite noisy.

    "I really liked this hotel. The bedroom and bathroom were clean, confortable and modern. Having a car park at the back of the hotel was useful. Double glazing kept the noise out and the aircon/heating controls worked fine. Staff at Reception were very pleasant and helfpul. I would not have been able to afford this hotel at full price but for the money I paid it was a bargain. definitely recommended and would stay there again." (99238933)

    The decor was smart and modern. The bathroom was beautiful. Reception desk was very helpful and pleasant. Room was quiet. Entire hotel was smart and high quality.

    There was a speaker in the bathroom and I was worried that the sound from the TV was too loud for the room next door.

    Very clean and comfortable hotel and room. Close proximity to South Bank, which was the purpose of our visit to London.

    If the hotel provides a small fridge as a minibar I would expect that fridge to actually be switched on. As the fridge was screwed into place it was impossible to reach beside it and turn the plug switch on. It seems a shame for an otherwise excellent hotel to provide 'cold' drinks in what was effectively a cupboard with a window in it.

    "This was a great hotel to stay in for exploring the city. We booked in because we were seeing friends on the saturday night but took the opportunity to spend the rest of the weekend in London - the hotel was a great base. Plus, there was easy, and relatively cheap, car parking for a 24 hr period - excellent value for money." (99249903)

    I thought that every need was catered for whether as a family or a young couple and the staff were friendly and professional. Any requests that were made were dealt with efficiently and professionally. The food, room, and facilities within the room were of the utmost standard and fabulous quality for the amount charged for the room.

    Rooms were of a high standard. Staff extremely friendly at the check in desk. It was extremely convenient that I was allowed to check in an hour earlier than normal.

    It very nicely served its purpose

    I liked having shower and bath together - sociable! However, as with many showers it causes a lot of water to swill around the floor.

    Room, hygiene, location were all impressive.

    The room was not ready for us when we came to check in, half an hour after checking in time. We had to wait in reception whilst a housekeeper was called to clean the room. The view was not great - it looked out onto the car park.

    I know London is expensive, but this would be my only negative comment - perhaps they could have made more of an effort with the price.

    Clean. Bathroom excellent.

    Bed was too hard. Pillows uncomfortable. As a result of the aforementioned, neither my wife or I had a good night's sleep, and considering we had a very early train to catch the following day the lack of sleep was magnified. Also Channel 4 did not work in the room and was not foxed until after we left - this was the only channel we wanted to watch that night! One expects to have a comfortable, enjoyble night when staying in a hotel with the Novatels reputation, this includes a ggod night's sleep and watching what one wants to on the telly!

    "Apart from the smoke and general heat of the hotel, it was fine. People had obviously been smoking in the lift and the seating area directly you exit the lift was full of smokers, so although we were fortunate enough to be able to book a non-smoking room, which was clean and pleasant, with excellent facilities, the lobby was disappointing - kids running around making a noise and smokers oblivious to others who would rather not smoke their cigarettes with them. Overall, good value for money and a good spot for exploring the South Bank. The corridor was oppressively hot and the room itself felt suffocating, but this may just be us country yokels, used to plenty of fresh air - the temperature was able to be controlled from within the room. Good breakfast - extensive range and choice - sausages weird tasting and bacon undercooked, but edible. Plenty of other tempting options." (3304590715)

    The smell of smoke in the lifts and people smoking directly you exit the lift in the seating area - impossible therefore to escape stink of smoke. The corridor itself was incredibly hot too - lack of ventilation - even turning the heat down in the room it felt too hot and we had to open a window and therefore suffer the noise outside, which in London obviously is loud and continuous.

    "Perfect place to stay on a business trip as ideally located closed to Financial centre.I would have liked to get information on how to get there from Gatwick airport ( any cheaper alternative than taxi !).As I arrived late ( midnight) and left early inthe morning , I did not really have the time to appreciate the different features of the hotel.     Really liked the look and design of the room. I appreciated the Toilets being separate from the bathroom. Comfortable bed and linen , overall peacefull look of the room .Very quiet.

    overpriced in my opinion, but I am not aware of all pricing practices around

    "The hotel is only 2 years old and this shows. Everything was clean, bright and new and there was a crispness about the service and the general feel of the place. Very impressed with the room which was quite large compared to other hotels of a similar type and very tastefully decorated. There was a bath and a separate shower and an extremely comfortable modern bed. Very good value for money esecially with its position on the South Bank." (3304219631)
